Latest winning streak : 

C9 after break from WL have not lost any games 8 wins in a row, but B11 they are been undefeated since after FLT 2009 finals. i.e. Roughly 15 or 16 wins excluding abandoned and forfeited games.

Top Batsman : 

Sanket 102(8), Jay 99(7) and Chintan 94(7) for B11 are leading B11 on the table

Nandhakunar 102(8), Harish 89(6) and Satish 88(5) of C9 are not much behind them.

Top Bowlers :

Highlights of League 2010

IPL, is the only thing which comes to my mind when I talk about cricket these days. It has changed the way cricket is played these days. Not only Indians but entire world is following it. IPL has become more exciting and eye catching event. It was become world cup in itself. 

After 14 matches and Semis final encounters. Two teams have made their way to the finals. Mumbai Indians the group leaders against Chennai Super Kings the experienced finalist in IPL will be battling each other for the pride on sunday.

Let me get my focus back to TCA League 2010. 

IPL fever has taken over TCA as well. 

Interesting stats in League 2010 so far : 

- Pavan 99(61) and Ramana 96*(40) this league tell all about it. 

- 17 players scoring more than 40 runs in a match.

- Roughly 70 6's. Out of which 10 by Ramana Alone. 

- No penitence to count no.of 4's :) 

- Ram 12 wkts  and for a change Me with 12 wits leading the Bowlers column. 

- 3 bowlers with 5 wkt hauls and 24 bowlers with 4 wits haul.

- 18 teams scoring more 100 runs in a innings, with 151/6 Yorkers is not the top of ladder.

- Lowest score 22/10 1st innings and 28/10 2nd innings 

Highlights :

- New teams like Whackers,Titans, Dark knights, Enthu XI, Chennai Cheetas … and old timers like Warriors, Chennai 94086 and Acers joins League 2010.

- Spanglers forfeiting their first match, still able to get their spot in top 16. 

- Pavan from Chargers scoring 99 runs and getting out on full-toss ball in the last over. 

- Yorkers tied their match with Sanjose Superstar on the last ball.

- Another high scoring tie between Nexus and Chak de.

- Star cc back in action after couple of forfeiting games. 

- Hat-rick by Raj from Warriors.

- Outstanding visiting performance by Rajagopalan from Kings to win match for Kings against Thunderbolts. 

- Ramana scoring 96(41) with 10 6's, 31 runs in an over. 

- Chumma TP and Whackers making their to top 16 for 1st time. 

- Sanjose Superstar defending 33 against Rangers 28, which includes 7 ducks in a innings of Rangers.

- Bhola XI defeating Whackers and once again leading the Event ladder consistently. While Cheenai 94086 has highest DRR just behind them.

- Last but not the least Red ball, has created visibility problems but whoever feels this can be wrong. Totals runs scored in series so far 11,832.

Chargers scoring 458 runs are leaders followed by Catalysters and Yorkers at 415 and 414.

Baba Ka Gyan ...

April has been happening month for me, as far as I am connected to Cricket. 19th April 2008, I played my first match against Catalysters @ Thomas Russel, it was last match for League 2008 . 12th April 2009, I wrote my first blog on TCA - Sabse Bada Khiladi (http://www.tennisballcricket.org/index.php?option=com_myblog&show=Sabse-Bada-Khiladi-126.html&Itemid=165).

Today 12th April 2010, I am back again with blog about League 2010. 

It shows how consistent is TCA in scheduling matches and tournament round the year and non stop delivering fun, excitement and competitive cricket away from our home lands.

It will be last week for League 2009. In League 2009 we have already seen lots of ups and down. Few matches really close while few ended up in tie. Time has come to start talking about who will be the upcoming Champions. This is last chance for teams to hold on their fort before entering into play off. Few teams have already completed their round robin matches , but yet they will be still interested in the score of the other teams because equations may change. 

Good, better, best; never let it rest

till your good is better and your better is best.

The idea behind this blog came from few of my friends. They are best in giving Gyan/advice ;) and predicting outcome of problems, by seeing people or action inactions  :). We call them Baba. I think everyone have such Baba's in ourself, So here are my predictions in their style - I call it as  Baba ka Gyan :D

Catalysters (54) vs Chennai Cheetahs (34)

Must win for : Cheenai Cheetahs

If they win closely they earn 34+16 = 50, this will give them hope to be in the  top 16.  Yes, but they need to wait for games for other teams to decide about their final ranking. 

On other hand, for Catalysters its just practice game. Loss wont throw them out of top 16, as they have already collected enough bonus points to be in the race. More bonus points will definitely help them to move top of the ladder. 

My prediction : As per recent form and past records of teams. It going to be tough for Chennai Cheetahs unless they have any catalyst formula to boost themselves against mighty Catalysters. 

Catalysters are in (1)

Rangers (35) vs San Jose superstars (24)

Must win for : Rangers

If Rangers plan to play in top group, they need to win 35+16=51, again to have advantage over other competitive teams they need bonus points. 

On other hand, win for SanJose Superstar will not be good enough to play in top 16.  Win is a win, no one does not mind wining at whatever level they are playing. 

My prediction : Rangers will win the match but getting bonus points wont be so easy as San Jose Superstars have good batting line up and have already tied a game with mighty Yorkers. So Rangers need from someone to deilver superstar performance in their team to guide them to top 16. 

Rangers are almost in (2)

Star cc (-3) vs Yorkers (57)

Starcc have recently forfeited couple of last games, so not sure they will play this week as well or not. 

Considering, if they again forfeit this week. Yorkers are 100% in top 16 with 57+16=73

Yorkers are 100% in (3)

Dazzlers (33) vs Warriors (56)

Must win for : Dazzlers 

Dazzlers are new to tournament and have done so far good to hold on their forts. If they want to play in top 16 they need to win and win with bonus points to have advantage over other teams with 3 wins. 

For Warriors, result wont affect their place in top 16. 

My prediction : Dazzlers will give great competition but will fall short against Warriors. Let see who controls whom, will Dazzler control the Warrior or Warrior control the Dazzler. It war between weapon and solider ;) 

Warriors are in 100% (4)

Chargers (51) vs Peacock11 (34)

Must win for : Peacock11

For Peacock11 it 100% must win and getting bonus points is must as they have poor DRR. 

Chargers win they are 100% in, but if they loose they have to make sure they get bonus points. 

My predictions : Both teams are very unpredictable. Team with more Charge will enter in top 16 with flying colors. 

Chargers are almost in (5)

Kasturi Pade (35) vs Spanglers (39)

Must win for : Both

If Spanglers win 39+16=55 they are in for sure and if they loose sorry to say you are 100% out of the race. 

While for Kasturi Pade win with bonus is must 35+16=51 to be in the queue to enter the race of top 16. 

If game is close enough and Kasturi Pade just manages to win. There are high chances both teams will be out of the race. 

My predictions : Spanglers wins and enter the race of top16. Unless Kasturi Pade has something in their mind to prove me wrong :) 

Spanglers almost in (6)

Mega Blasters (8) vs Packers (13)

Must win for : Packers 

If Packers win they are in otherwise they are out for sure. 

My predictions : This could be one side game. Mega Blaster though not wining single game have 8 points they have capability to reach close. Can they blast out Packers and pack their hopes to reach to top 16, will be interesting to see. 

Packers are in (7)

Panthers (20) vs Mavericks (0)

This just a practice game for both team before play off begins. Win to Panther will give them confidence for Royal cup play off. 

While win for Mavericks will take them from Imperial cup to Royal cup. 

My predictions : Panthers are going to attack Mavericks a part and rule the Royal cup race. 

 

MCC (45) vs Centurions (53)

Must win for : MCC 

Win for MCC 45+16=61 will book their seat in top 16 and loss puts them in Royal cup driving seat. 

For centurions, loss with bonus points 100% confirms the spot. 

My prediction : Both teams will be in. Match fixing is good options for them ;) 

MCC (8) and Centurions (9) are in

Enthu11 (43) vs Strikers (55)

Must win for : Enthu11

Enthu11 so far have played with lot of Enthu and standing at border of the top 16 spots. Win here will confirm their spot in the race. 

For, Strikers its another practice game before play off.  Win will give them lot of confidence. 

My prediction : Strikers strikes out Enthu of Enthu11. 

Strikers in (10)

Chumma TP (36) vs Mustangs (4)

Must win for : Chumma TP

Best chance for Chumma Tp to enter top 16 with win 36+16=52. To confirm their spot for 100% they need extra effort to win with bonus points. 

Win for Mustang will get them to Royal cup race. 

My prediction : Chumma TP simply knocks out power house of Mustang to enter the Ellite group. 

Chumma TP almost in (11)

Rhinos (54) vs Beamers (39)

Must win for : Beamers

Beamers need to win this one 39+16=55 to make sure they are in top 16. Bonus points will increase their chances. 

For Rhinos to be in top 16, win is easy option but if they loose they have to loose closely to get hold of bonus points. 

My prediction : Beamers injures Rhinos and closes door for Rhinos to top 16. 

Beamers are almost in (12)

Thunderbolts (26) vs TitansXI (1)

This is again a practice game for Thunderbolt before their Royal cup play off. 

While for TitansXI is must win to see themselves in Royal cup. 

My prediction : TitansXI will tight up their bolts to show time has changed and ready for Royal cup challenge. 

99ers(33) vs Kings(53) 

Dark Knights (17) vs Chennai 94086(67)

Scorecards between 99ers vs Dark Knights not yet entered after the deadline time. 

So can not comment about these games. Let see who has won and who gets penalty for not entering the brief score on time.

But pretty sure Kings (13) and Chennai 94086(14) are in

For Group A teams, they have completed all their matches. 

Bhola XI(15) and SE11(16)  are 100% in 

While Whackers(55) are almost in but need to wait for the results of the other games.

The new season is about to begin by coming weekend.  With Day light switch and changing season, I too have decided to change, new way to write blog and get connected with community members. I wanted more interactive blogging page then just a static page which people read and forget. Your comments, your answers, your interest and your every words counts and motivates bloggers like me at least to write more blogs and give some analysis.
